Position: Professor
Official Functions: Bryan Mark is Professor of Geography at Ohio State University, and also leads the Glacier Environmental Change research group at the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center. He has been a leader and participant in many field work expeditions to the tropical Andes, as well as sites in Africa, Alaska, Nevada, and Antarctica. He has been a Fulbright Scholar twice to Peru, collaboratively affiliated with the Peruvian Geophysical Institute (IGP), National Water Authority - Glaciology and Water Resources Unit (ANA - UGRH), Research Institute for Glaciers and Mountain Ecosystems (INAIGEM), and the National University of San Marcos. In 2015 he was a visiting scholar at the Oeschger Center for Climate Change at the University of Bern, Switzerland. In 2016 he became State Climatologist for Ohio and initiated the State Climate Office of Ohio (SCOO: climate.osu.edu). He serves on the Science Leadership Council for MRI, and on the Board of Directors for Hope International Development Agency, USA.
